began operations in 1980, then known as Nanayakkara Earth Movers
(PVT) Ltd. The fledgling company broke new ground in the fields
of earth-moving, site preparation and infrastructure projects. Since

We are one of the few contractors
in Sri Lanka with ICTAD Grade M1 classification in the fields of
Road Construction, Land Development, Irrigation & Land Drainage,
and Water Supply & Drainage. In addition we obtained ICATD Grade
M1 for Building Construction. NEM Construction has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 – 2000 Certification for Quality by DET NORSKE VERITAS The company is equipped with the
largest private sector fleet of heavy machinery in Sri Lanka (with
over 150 units backed up by a centralized Work Shop located at Ekala).
This mobile advantage is boosted by the services of an experienced
staff who have under-lined their all-round competence in handling
any type of civil engineering work. Among our project portfolio are
several Foreign Funded projects in Sri Lanka sponsored by organizations
such as ADB, JBIC, Government of USA, and Government of Australia.
